The Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus, aka ECV or simply Clampers, is a fraternal organization. It is dedicated to service to other members or the widows and children of members in need.  The preservation of our rich Western Heritage, especially during the history of the Mother Lode and gold mining regions of the area. There are chapters in California, Nevada, Washington and other Western states. The organization grew stong during the Gold Rush era in California. We members proudly call ourselves Clampers.
